Biography
The writer was born in Viena on 28th of November 1881, the typical descendant of a well-educated turn-of-the-century Austrian Jewish bourgeoisie. Son of a wealthy textile manufacturer, Moritz Zweig, and his wife Ida Brettauer, very soon Zweig knew he would become a writer and built up his career...
